Tali is a beautiful, but shy young adult blue cat. Once she gets to know and trust you, she loves belly rubs and will roll over when she wants one. She loves her foster family, and enjoys being petted and talked to. She comes when called. She loves to play, and gets along well with the other cats and kittens in her foster home. She is fine around the rabbits and other small caged animals. She doesn't like to be confined, or put into a crate or pet taxi. She has never been around children or dogs, and because she is so shy, we would prefer to see her go to a home without indoor dogs or very young children. Tali does not like change, and will take a very long time to adjust to a new home. She was adopted once, but returned when she didn't adjust to the move. Whoever adopts her needs to be very patient and give her several months or more to get used to her new home and family.

The Acadiana Humane Society is a small foster home organization. Our goal is to safe as many lives of dogs, cats & small animals as we can and also to educate and inform the public about animal rescue. We totally rely on the generosity of our community to help us with our work. We're only funded by donations and adoption fees for the saved animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

You can find us every Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00 pm at either the Petco located at 3215 Louisiana Ave. in Lafayette, or at Petco South located at 605 Settlers Trace in Lafayette. Our Adoption Process...

Our regular cat adoption fee is $100.00. Our senior cats (7 years & up) are $60.00. Our regular dog adoption fee is $150.00. Purebred cats are $150.00. Purebred dogs are $200.00. Guinea Pigs are $20,00. Spayed Rabbits are $50.00. Spayed/descented Ferrets are $75.00. Chinchillas are $75.00. This includes all tests, vaccinations, deworming, and spay/neuter of the cat, dog, ferret or rabbit. Our requirements for dogs are: fenced in backyard, no chain or yard dogs. Our requirements for cats are: inside only and NO declawing or tendenectomy. Rabbits are recommended for inside homes, as are all the exotic pets & birds.
