YANKEE JUST HAD SENIOR SCREEN (BLOOD WORK & URINALYSIS) 3/25/16 FOR CURRENT BILL OF HEALTH!
Yankee, now 7 yrs old (ALL 4 DECLAWED) is quite a catch! Yankee is very calm and loves to be a lap kitty. He might show a bit more enthusiasm after adjusting to a new home, but in his current situation with other felines, he is content to be a sofa cat. He sits calmly and quietly so that you can come to him for your therapeutic petting sessions!!! Yankee is a little bit more high maintenance because he has had a history of UTI (urinary tract infections). Fortunately, there is an easy fix to avoid future infections! He is happy and healthy when he is fed the 4Health brand of food sold by Tractor Supply. He would also benefit from a daily cranberry supplement, but remaining on the same food is the biggest component to keeping Yankee healthy for snuggling and cuddling. When you meet the 5 year old Yankee, you will feel your worries and drama fade away as he soothes you with his powerful petting meditation and the healing touch of his gorgeous fur! (Of course, since the Civil War has long ended, it is definitely safe to let a Yankee live in your home!)
If you want to bring Yankee into your home to give you mutual love and companionship, please contact Marla by phone or text at 251-404-0022 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Although we are not a tax exempt organization, we operate in the red (due to extensive costs for vetting & pet food) and greatly appreciate all donations. You can donate via PayPal. SEE OUR HOME PAGE.
As with all of our adoptable pets, there is a lifetime return policy so that if at any time you must give up your pet you may return them and their records to Adopt-A-Kitty. Please give your new pet at least two weeks to a month to adapt to their new home. The adoption fee for Yankee is $50. You will also receive a free vet exam coupon for any new client to Wesson Animal Clinic. DECLAWED, Neutered, tested. ADOPT-A-KITTY.ORG
More on Yankee: SPECIAL NEEDS. Yankee is considered special needs because his history labels him as having chronic UTI's. He has done well on Tractor Supply 4Health food, ~ $1/pound (formerly on pricey Royal Canin S/O urinary tract food). He also would benefit from a daily cranberry supplement. If he goes off the appropriate food or suffers any form of stress, he gets a UTI (urinary tract infection), may stop eating, urinates outside of the box, and has to be put on antibiotics. It can get costly to return him to health, so I prefer to adopt him locally only, and if there is any issue, I am happy to take him back for antibiotic treatment.
