Facts about Rocko

  • Breed: Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
We’d like you to meet Rocko, Tennessee’s next hunky eligible bachelor. At only 11 months old, Rocko is already catching the eye of all the ladies! Weighing in at 56 lbs, this Bull Terrier mix could be the next big thing to hit Hollywood, or hey, maybe the next Target dog!! He's good with female dogs, as well as submissive males. Rocko is good with kids, and he loves people. He's very gentle with kids and people, and we are unsure how he reacts to cats, but we can test this, if needed. Rocko wanted us to mention that he really needs a fenced yard or an active walker/runner for exercise because, as we all know, maintaining a ‘Hollywood figure’ isn’t easy.

If you are thinking that you’ve discovered the total package, you’re right! Rocko is house trained and crate trained. Even though Rocko is still very puppy-like and young, he has not had one accident in his foster home. Gold star for Rocko! We saw instantly how smart he is because he easily learned how to go in his crate on command, he knows sit and down, as well as other fundamental commands.

*****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED!*****

Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information.

All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.

Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!

About Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE)

About Our Rescue Group...

Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) is an organization that is dedicated to saving animals in rural areas, mainly in 'pounds' and shelters, both high-kill and no-kill. There tends to be a higher overpopulation rate in rural areas due to lack of animal ordinances and alteration to prevent unwanted litters. Many animals are 'dumped' on country roads left to parish or end up at the local pound or animal shelter if they have an empty kennel. Many of these animals have a limited number of days before they are euthanized. In addition to placing animals in foster and adoptive homes, networking with rescues to assist in placement and adoption of animals, RARE also performs fundraisers for spay/neuters and other vetting to prevent further overpopulation and promote quality of life for the animals we save.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees cover all vetting for the animals in our care, including vaccinations, Heart-worm test, Heart-worm treatment if needed, Feline Leukemia test, spay/neuter and may vary, depending on species.

Fosters and Adopters will be required to complete an application with personal and Veterinary references. A home visit is also required.
RESCUES, please contact us regarding pull information or pull fee, if any, depending on vetting already provided by RARE.
