Tyra is two-third's hippie chick. Around people, she is as chill as chill can be. She loves to be pet, and to be near you. She has no problem being picked up and handled, despite the fact her size makes that an awkward process. And when she is outside, she is at one with nature. The bees and flowers are her friends. She basks in the sunshine, rolls in the grass, and sniffs and explores with an air that is downright spiritual.
Until she spots another animal. Then she is a fierce warrior. So, if she is the only pet in a home with a fenced in yard, you will have no troubles basking in the zen loveliness of Tyra.
Tyra is house trained in every sense of the word. She is completely calm and respectful in the house, doesn't chew what should not be chewed and even walks daintily. She is big, but walks like a ballerina. She adores being near you, but won't climb or jump inappropriately. And she is cool being crated, if that if your preference. She loves to play with toys and will often greet her foster parent with her favorite toy in her mouth ready to play. She is good on a leash, until she spots another dog or critter, and then she will bolt for it. A strong and steady hand is enough to keep her in line, but she will probably never be one for an off-leash dog park.
The best home for Tyra is one with no other pets and a fenced-in yard. She would be a great candidate for a doggie door. The rest is a breeze. She's just a huge sweetheart.
If you are looking for a one-and-only pet who will cherish you as her one-and-only love, then come meet Tyra.
