Gia's Story...
Hello, I'm Gia! I'm a super happy girl and my whole body wiggles when I greet new people. Immediately after we become friends I flop on my back for belly rubs. I also love giving kisses! I live in a foster home with 2 dogs and a cat and I get along great with all of them. Those aren't my only friends though. My foster mom drops me off at daycare a few days a week and I play with dogs both big and small. We also go on adventures during the weekend and I'm just an easy going girl. My foster parents have done such a great job showing me the ropes. I already know how to sit and I will happily go in my crate and sleep through the night. My foster parents also love my energy level. I'm playful but I also have a very relaxed side to me. I hope you like movie night! I'm not sure if you noticed, but I also have one silly ear that stays up all day long. I can't wait to meet my new person or family, I'm sure will be fast friends right away.

All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.

Our adoption application can be found at http://www.aliverescuememphis.org/adoptionapplication/

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gia, a Chicago Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
