I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Introducing Morris. This handsome boy is a flat coated retriever mix, born in March of this year (2016) We rescued Morris when he was about 2.5 months old from a horder/neglect situation. When we got him, he had a skin condition which left him with major hair loss, especially on his face...he looked pitiful. But as you can see, with good nutrition and proper care, Morris has flourished and his hair has grown back almost all the way. Morris is in excellent health, he is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, on monthly heartworm and flea &tick prevention. Morris is a LOVE BUG. This boy gets along great with everyone he meets; other dogs and people. He is crate trained and is doing very well in the house. Morris currently weighs 46 lbs, but still has some growing and filling out to do. He will probably be about 55 lbs when fully grown. If you are interested in Morris, please email us at email@example.com
Rookie's Rescue was founded in memory of my beloved companion, Rookie.
Rookie's Rescue is a virtual shelter, meaning all of our pets live in loving foster homes, not a facility/shelter environment. The pets listed on this site live in a foster home located in TN, VA, NY or PA.
Rookie's Rescue is committed to helping abandoned, neglected and abused pets finding loving homes and educating the public about responsible pet ownership with a strong emphasis on spaying and neutering.
WHERE DO OUR PETS COME FROM? Rookie' Rescue saves pets from over crowded shelters and animal control facilities, who due to lack of space and overwhelming volume are forced to euthanize thousands of healthy, adoptable pets each year. We will also accept pets from owners who can no longer care for their pet. When the animal enters our program, they undergo a complete health check from a local vet to make sure the pet is healthy. The pet is treated for any medical needs, is brought up to date on all vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. The pet is then socialized and assessed by our behaviorist. When the animal has been determined healthy and socialized, it is placed for adoption.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Because we are a "virtual" shelter, there is no facility for you to visit all available pets. The pets in our program live is private foster homes. The first step in the process is to contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know which pet you are asking about. We will then send you an appliacation and further detail about the process
Our Adoption Process...
