Get prepared for the the ultimate kidney bean of a Boxer!  Yes, that's right Laney loves to greet everyone that enters the house, and that means wagging her stumpy tail and giving boxer hugs (yes, the full on boxer lean.)

Laney is a lover and does great in the house.  She has been trained to stay off all furniture (unless invited up.)  If allowed to, she just wants to curl up in your lap and snuggle.  She could snuggle four times in a night and she wouldn't get sick of it.  She well keep you warm through the winter months.

Laney is also crate trained.  She is very quiet in her crate and will go to her kennel on command.  She is generally mellow during the day, and does a lot of sleeping.  In the evening she enjoys running in the yard and going for walks.

The reason Laney is looking for a new home, is that her owners do not have a physical fence and live in a busy neighborhood with lots of dogs.  Laney would love to find a home with a physical fence (or open space void of other dogs.)

For the right owner Laney will be a dependable and loving dog.  Laney is well trained, she has been to 6 classes and spent time with two separate one-on-one trainers.

Laney does experience anxiety while on leash and meeting other dogs for the first time. Laney does well with dogs she is properly introduced to.

About Minnesota Boxer Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

When Boxers are in need, Minnesota Boxer Rescue dedicated volunteers respond. Our mission includes hands-on rescue, as well as education.

Many of our beautiful Boxers have had a very "ruff" start, for various reasons, please be assured that we have dedicated ourselves to helping as many of these dogs as we possibly can.

When a dog comes into our rescue program they are examined by our vet, brought up to date on vaccines, heart worm tested, (placed on heart worm preventive medication) and fecal tested. All dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We evaluate each Boxer's personality and temperament, so he/she can be placed in the best home suited for that dog.

Come Meet Our Pets...

MN Boxer Rescue is 100% foster based. We do not have a shelter or central location where dogs are housed. Visit the events page on our website to find out about our meet and greet events.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process consists of:

I. Completing an Adoption Application

II. Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check

III. Home Visit

IV. Adoption Fee

I Completing an Adoption Application
We screen potential adopters very carefully in order to find the best possible match for both you and our foster dogs. All adoptions are expected to be lifetime commitments!

You must be a Minnesota resident, and at least 21 years old.

All existing pets in your home must be up to date on all vaccinations, and must be-spayed/neutered (no boxers will be placed into homes known to have intact companion animals.)

We require that you complete the entire application including the contact name/ phone number of veterinarian, and personal references.

We as volunteers would like to observe the interaction of the Boxer child/children together.

We will disclose all known behaviors, health or emotional issues to applicant prior to adoption.

Fenced yard is required to adopt a deaf dog.

II Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check
Once your references are checked, a volunteer will contact you to discuss potential matches and to schedule a home visit.

III. Home Visit
The purpose of the home visit is to inspect the surroundings in which our foster dogs will live, meet all household family members, address any major concerns, and get to know you better. (We are not at your home to pass judgment on your housekeeping skills.)

During this visit we will set up a date for you to come and meet the Boxer(s) you are interested in (we ask that you bring your family members as well as your existing dogs)

IV. Adoption Fee
Our adoption fee is based on the age and health of our dogs. The fee can range from $200 - 450.00, with $350 being the average. We will not negotiate adoption fees. This is not a "sale" but a fee that enables us to continue to help more Boxers in the future.

Your adoption fee covers:

Physical veterinarian exam
Heartworm Test and preventative meds
Fecal Test and any necessary worming
Microchip implant
Any other treatment deemed necessary by our vet

As you can see, our adoption fee covers numerous expenses. Your potential new Boxer will be
covered for all necessary inoculations for the first year. We will provide copies of all services rendered while the Boxer has been in rescue.

Please visit our website at to complete an adoption application and begin the process.
