Monty's Story...
Meet Monty!

Monty is 4 and a half years old, loves adults and older children, and would like a home where someone is home most of the time. Monty would love to be your shadow, but can also kennel when you need a break. He has done well with the little dogs in his foster home and would enjoy a sister to snuggle with. He is very obedient and walks well on a leash.

Monty seems to see ok in the daytime but has some sight impairment when it is dark outside. His hearing appears to be normal. Monty has just come into the program and is not available for adoption at this time, He still needs to see our vet and get a temperament test done before we will start looking for a home for him.

Please note that due to the large number on inquiries we get on a daily basis we do not answer questions about dogs unless you have an approved application on file. Please go to to fill out an application if you are interested in adopting Mr. Monty!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monty, a DEER PARK Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in DEER PARK, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in DEER PARK.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in DEER PARK already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a DEER PARK breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in DEER PARK paves the way for another one to be saved.
