Tiki is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Tiki is currently fostered in Bradenton.

Tiki is a fun, petite and high-energy girl who we saved from death row at Sebring AC. She's only about a year old and 33 lbs - some kind of hound/pointer mix and possibly sighthound and cattle dog in there. It would be fun to DNA test her! She is a sweet girl who loves to jump in your lap and give kisses - we are working on manners and obedience as she is a bit of a steamroller. Because of this we will not adopt her to a family with young kids, although she loves everyone. Older kids are OK.

Tiki is scheduled to have her final heartworm treatment injections Dec. 16/17 and will be on another 30 days of crate rest after that. She would love to join a quiet foster-to-adopt home after her injections. Tiki has tons of drive - she would do great at dock diving, disc, barn hunt, and lure coursing. Her ideal home would be a sports performance home, but she would be happy to join you on runs, hikes, and beach days. This is a dog who needs a fenced yard to run and play ball in - hounds are not known for their recall and this girl is very interested in squirrels and birds.

Get in touch if you're interested in Tiki. She is an excellent dog - everyone who meets her falls in love. Once she is heartworm-free, the sky's the limit for her.

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
