Tiki is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Tiki is currently fostered in Bradenton.
Tiki is a fun, petite and high-energy girl who we saved from death row at Sebring AC. She was there by no fault of her own. She's about 1.5 years old and 33 lbs.
Tiki is a sweet girl who loves to sit in your lap and give kisses. She is learning commands, and her manners have vastly improved in foster care. She has an excellent "sit, stay" and will not try to run out the door. Tiki has tons of drive - she has been to lure coursing and is an absolute fiend for it. She is wicked fast and has excellent focus on her handler. She would excel at dock diving, disc, barn hunt, nosework, and flyball too, and is ideally looking for a performance home, even if it means just taking some classes and spending weekends flush with activity. The sky really is the limit as far as her abilities. Her recall is quite good for a hound and she can be called off a lure during coursing. Tiki would also love to go on hikes, runs, and to the beach. Please no young kids for this girl - she loves everyone and her love might be too overwhelming for little ones. Tiki needs a home with a fenced yard, ideally a privacy fence as she is athletic enough to jump a 4' fence. And yes, she does love to sleep on the couch and cuddle in her free time! The off switch is strong with this one.
Tiki is heartworm negative, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. She will be having her stitches out on 2/28 and will be ready for adoption then! Please get in touch if you're interested in Tiki. She truly is an excellent dog.
