RESCUING TEE TEE
Tee Tee came into Fulton County as a stray in horrible condition. A day after her intake, her temperature dropped rapidly and she collapsed. When we picked her up, she could not even stand up and we rushed her to our vet. Poor Tee Tee was a little dehydrated, had some hookworms, and is a high heartworm positive. Life has not been too kind for this little girl, but we are changing that. We got her some IV fluids, xrays, and dewormed her.
ABOUT TEE TEE
Tee Tee went into foster care a starved, emaciated, scared shell of a dog and we have watched her flourish and blossom into a beautiful, loving, affectionate, happy girl. She gets along well with other dogs both big and small and has been non-reactive in high-energy and high stress situations. In all the time we've known her, her foster dad has only heard her bark four times, once at the doorbell, once at kids yelling nextdoor, and twice at playtime in the yard. She will occasionally wrestle with the resident 48lb Boston Terrier, but she is intimidated by the bossy, vocal 16lb Wire Haired Terrier so those bouts of play are brief yet positive.
Tee Tee loves attention, naps together, belly rubs, ear scratches, and is calm when handling her. She follows her foster-dad everywhere, is a constant companion, and is a no-fuss kinda gal when its time to go outside. She is always first to the door ready to come back inside, after a quick zoom around the yard of course. Tee Tee is very calm, making her heartworm treatment very easy as she loves to simply relax and take naps. She is crate-trained and housebroken, but does well being left out in the house alone as well.
Tee Tee is food motivated, she likes to watch her foster-dad cook, but from the far side of the room as she is a non-intrusive, polite little lady. She is very smart and well behaved. She knows sit, come, no, lay down, outside, down, and she is working on stay. She is very eager to please, is improving at holding eye contact, and is very wary of that evil vacuum cleaner. She will not leave the room when the vacuum is running, but she keeps a close watch on it.
Tee Tee has liked every visitor that has been to her foster home and she has firmly snared the hearts of everyone she has met. Everyone quickly falls in love with her. She is sweet as honey-pie, gentle, and not pushy or in your face. Her foster-dad suspects she would be happy going to new places and doing new things. Tee Tee could fit into almost any type of family and situation. She is bound to make someone very happy and any family would be lucky to have her as a companion.
Tee Tee has completed her heartworm treatment and has been left with an occasional cough, as if she is clearing her throat, due to damage done by the heartworms. Because of this, she is probably not suited for a home that expects her to be overly active or a jogging partner. She is scheduled to be spayed in June 2017 and will be available for adoption shortly after that.
Our adoption fee is $250. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.
