Honey's Story...
With cooler weather approaching, this adorable little 7-pound snugglebug would love to help keep you warm! Little Honey is a sweet young terrier mix around 10 months old who was abandoned by her owner in a most irresponsible way. Getting to know this little darling has been nothing short of delightful for her foster and the rest of Kiko’s volunteers. Honey’s new family will be home a good part of the day, able to give her ample walks and exercise, have room for her to curl up on a lap and sleep on the big bed (she doesn’t take up much room), and be open to getting lots of doggie kisses. Honey playfully chases cats, so a home without cats would be best, but she would love the company of another small friendly dog to play with. Because she is so small, we are looking for a home with dog-savvy children over the age of 12. If you meet the criteria, please complete an adoption questionnaire at www.kikodogrescue.ca.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for heartworm (if deemed necessary), microchipped, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($275 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Rigaud Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
