Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
ARIEL and SEBASTIAN are about the cutest sister and brother you could ever imagine. (ARIEL IS STANDING IN HER SOLO PHOTO AND SEBASTIAN IS SITTING IN HIS). These babies are laid back but smart pups! Both are incredibly loving, but their own little unique personality traits are starting to show. ARIEL is the explorer. She is a coordinated little girl who already climbs steps with ease. SEBASTIAN is sensitive mommy's boy and not quite as coordinated. We are sure this is because he is growing so incredibly fast...he is twice his sister's size.
These pups live in an incredible foster home where they get to socialize with other dogs, kitties, and even horses. This early socialization is priceless for a puppy. They love to spend time outside in the morning and evenings, but definitely want to be inside enjoying the air conditioning during the heat of the day. They spend countless hours soaking up affection from the little girl who lives in their foster home. ARIEL and SEBASTIAN were born around 7/25/2016 so they are now ready to bring their tail wags and puppy kisses to their forever families! We do require that these babies go to forever homes who have experience with Pyrenees or other large breeds. We will NOT adopt them to the same home as we agree with medical research that littermate adoptions are not in the best interest of the puppies.
ARIEL and SEBASTIAN will be microchipped and vaccinated as many time as age will allow when they arrive at their forever homes.
Each puppy has a $250 local adoption fee.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
