My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This 3-year-old Miniature Poodle had a pretty rough life so far, but the worst is behind her now. Candy was terrified of everyone when she first came into rescue but her very affectionate and playful side has come through, and we are confident that she will thrive in the right home. Candy’s past left her more uncomfortable around men in particular, but the right approach with the men at her very capable foster home has been helping her get over this fear. Candy is comfortable around respectful children but is only about 10 pounds, so older children only please. She enjoys the company of other dogs, but would also be happy in a home where she is not left alone for extended periods of time. It has been a rewarding experience watching her come out of her shell and learn to trust again, and we will be using our usual careful protocol when placing her to ensure she finds her forever home. If you think you can offer this little sweetheart the loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption questionnaire at www.kikodogrescue.ca. Candy will be at our adoption day at Mon Ami in Kirkland this Saturday, October 8 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Details with a link to a map can be found on our website.
