My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Trinny. I am a 2-3 year old medium size (40lb) female terrier mix with the most gentle and loving nature as you will ever find. Today I am a happy, playful and loving dog. But it wasn't always this way for me. I am a survivor off the streets of Cuba. A visitor to my country saw me suffering from the ravages of living as a stray - I was emaciated, had mange and parasites, had a dislocated jaw from being kicked in the face and was very weak. Two days later I could no longer even stand. My body and my spirit had collapsed. I had literally given up on life. If the kind tourist hadn't rescued me I would have died where I was lying within hours. The picture of me on a bed at the vet clinic was taken just after my rescue. Even though I was very sick and weak I would still wag my tail when anyone talked to me or came near me. I simply adore people.
Just look at me now! I have been restored to physical and emotional health and am in love with life. More than anything else I love getting affection. I live to be loved.
I am looking forward to becoming part of a family for the first time in my life. I currently live with a couple of other dogs in the courtyard of the vet clinic and we have a lot of fun together. While I haven't been seen with cats or kids my super gentle and sweet manner makes it hard to believe I would be anything other than respectful and kind.
By the time I arrive in Vancouver on Nov 13th, I will be spayed, vaccinated, free of parasites and ready to meet my new family. I am not house trained nor have I received much training so will need someone willing to teach me. My adoption fee is $450.
