Roxy's Story...
My name is Roxy, I am 4 years old and I am the happiest of all the Virginia dogs to be in Vermont. I loved all the people I met in Virginia, but after being at the shelter for over 1 1/2 years, it was time to find my furever home. I am a very sweet girl and love people a lot. I am picky about my doggy friends, but like most mellow males. I am a little fearful of cats and could live with a dog savvy cat. I know there is a family up here looking for a dog just like me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Springfield American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Springfield, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
