Meet little Ms. Pandora! Pandora is a little mini-bull weighing in at just shy of 30 pounds. Her best friend in the world is June! Sweet Pandora is only a year and a half, but she has already had a very hard life! When she was just a little baby, her owner moved away and left her and June with their family members. The family was supposed to love and care for these baby girls, but instead they left them in the backyard for 8 months with little to no interaction. When the owner found out they decided to surrender them to the shelter so they would at least have regular care.
Maybe this was the better choice for these little girls, but what is clear is that they have never had the love and care they should. After spending their whole lives outside or at the shelter, the great, big world seemed a little scary to them both when they came to us. Pandora needed a little more help to feel confident when she came off the transport van to us, but within a few minutes her tail was thumping and she was giving us kisses.
Pandora does great with dogs, cats, and people. She has low to medium energy and just wants a home of her own that she can feel safe in. Pandora is in a foster home separate from June, but she would still LOVE to be adopted with her best friend! Apply for one or both of these pups today if they are the dogs for you.

About Virginia Paws for Pits

About Our Rescue Group...

VPFP is on a mission to educate the public on the misconceptions that go hand in hand with "pit bulls" we strive to match families with the perfect dog for their lifestyle and activity level to ensure that the adoption is a success for all involved. Pit bulls and mixes account for 58% of dogs in shelters and nearly 2800 are killed every day in the united states. We promote spaying and neutering in the community and encourage our adopters to use their dogs as ambassadors for this misunderstood class of dogs, by going out into the community and making a difference.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees vary from $50-$250 depending on the age of the animal, the amount of care provided, and the duration of their time in our rescue program. You can apply online via our website and we will be in touch with you in 48-72 hours. We do a reference check with your vet to make sure all animals in the home are current on vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered. We verify with landlords that the applicant can have a pet and there are no size or breed restrictions and finally we conduct a home inspection. Once approved there is an additional contract to sign stating that the adopter is taking over responsibility of the dog and that if at ANY time he/she is unable to care for the dog they must be returned to VPFP with ample notification to our board members.
