My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Acorn is just the best little dog. She looks like a schnauzer mix. She is approx 8 years old and 12 lbs. She is quiet and well behaved, gets along with the other dogs, and she likes to wander in the yard and then seek out a doggie bed to curl up in. She loves attention and would be a great companion for someone that can take her on walks and give her lots of TLC. She seems to be leash and house trained. She does have some dry eye and she is on eye drops twice a day. A home with adults would be preferable as she enjoys the quiet life.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
