My name’s Lula and I’m here to tell ya that a country girl CAN survive. When my rescuers found me, I had just given birth to nine puppies down by the river bank and even though I was taking great care of them, I was starving. I gave them everything I had and was almost about to give up because I was so sad and hungry. I let out a big howl and two of the nicest people in world were fishing close by and heard me. They put all of my puppies in their buckets and I happily followed them to safety and most importantly, food! It was really weird being inside of a house at first but I’ve definitely gotten used to it and things have been pretty great ever since. All of my babies have found homes and I’m in much better shape. I’m just so grateful to be around people of all ages and I really like other dogs too. When you’ve been down and out like me, you appreciate everything. I still prefer being outside where I can run free but I’m good anywhere as long as there are loving humans nearby. The wonderful folks who found me aren’t able to give me a forever home so I’m hoping a nice family will see my story and realize how much they need me in their lives. I’m feeling awesome and now I can’t wait to give YOU everything I have!
