Chloe's Story...
Chloe is a 1.5 year old dsh brown tabby. She was found this summer starving and pregnant. She gave birth to a litter with underdeveloped lungs; they were euthanized. At that point Chloe weighed 4.5 lbs; Chloe now weighs 12 lbs. Chloe is an active, alpha cat. She would do best with a cat that is alsoactive, or as an only cat. Chloe would not do well with a timid or older cat. Otherwise, Chloe is a friendly cat. Here is her foster's description of Chloe: 'Chloe is a very loving and playful cat. She loves to play with her turboscratcher and her little fur mice. She really likes to talk to me on the bathroom counter while I'm getting ready for work. She really loves to sleep with me at night and watch TV with me too. Chloe is a very active and playful cat...' Adoption Fee is 95. Currently at our Petsmart Adoption Center.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Garland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Garland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Garland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garland paves the way for another one to be saved.
