Elsa's Story...
Birthdate: September 2015. Meet Elsa! Elsa was rescued in Puerto Rico and flown all the way to Michigan to find her forever home. She is very happy to see her people and she can't wait to sit on your lap! Elsa is amazing with other dogs and is good with children, as she loves people. She is up for lots of play, but is also content to just sit on the couch and be with you. If you are interested in Elsa, contact us or see her at our Saturday adoption events 11 am - 4 pm at the Sterling Heights Petco off of Lakeside Circle, by Lakeside Mall [right next to ToysRUs].

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elsa, a Sterling Heights Basset Hound/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Corgi for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Basset Hound/Corgi dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Corgi breeders who help with Basset Hound/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
