Loretta is an amazing dog who found herself in a bad situation. This beautiful girl was picked up as a stray by Harris county animal control and had run out of time. Most likely whoever had her used her as a breeder but then when she reached 5 kept a puppy and dumped her.

Well, good news, breeding days are behind her, and she now just gets to enjoy the good life.

Loretta is a beautiful yellow lab who gets along well with other dogs. She loves every human she has met, your typical happy labbie girl.

And, at least whoever had her did give her heartworm prevention as she tested negative for heartworms. Yay!!!!

If you are interested in fostering or adopting this beautiful, sweet, wonderful dog, please fill out the appropriate application at  www.scoutshonor.org  or email us with any questions,  info@scoutshonor.org

About Scout's Honor Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Scout’s Honor Rescue is an all-breed, no-kill, Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization committed to bringing Courage, Character and Compassion to Houston’s homeless pet population and making a positive difference in the lives of these stray and abandoned animals and the Houston community as a whole. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to saving the life of a homeless animal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.

Our Adoption Process...

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.
