My name is Autumn. I am a little over nine years old and new to the rescue. I came to my foster home with six babies. My foster mom says I was a great momma dog, but now my babies are old enough to find their own homes, so I get to rest and get some me time!
My mom says I am very smart, as I walk well on my leash, I am great in the car, and I know sit, down and stay. I also am very polite and ask to go out, or if you have one, I know how to use a doggie door. My mom has also taught me that a kennel is a safe warm place to sleep at night or stay when she is not home. When my family is home my preference is to follow my mom around the house, and lay at her feet, so I can get belly rubs which I enjoy very much.
I have met lots of people here, including kids as young as one, and I am very good with them. I do get nervous when new men come to the house, and will sometimes bark at them. But once my mom shows me they are welcome here, then I am okay. I do have a man who lives with me, and I am great with him.As for my health, I have been to the vet, and was just spayed. The vet checked me over and said my back legs show their age, so while I have no issues getting around, my mom thinks I am probably past the age of going for long runs, but I am otherwise healthy.
I do have two brothers here at my home. I have not had a chance to interact with them much because of my spay, but I am friendly when they come say Hi to me in my kennel.
