Hi this is Pixie! She is a little over a year old. She looks as though she could be a Dapple Daschund/Terrier mix weighing about 10 lbs. She is the cutest little bug ever. Pixie was found wandering on the side of an Arizona road, covered with ticks and mange.
Despite, or maybe because of, her hardships she has the sweetest personality. She loves her foster mom and follows her like a shadow. She loves to be held and cuddled. She is good with big and small dogs who are respectful, but is not tolerant of overly hyper dogs. She's very curious, loves taking walks and is good on leash. She is potty trained and UTD on shots, spayed and microchipped. We are working on resource guarding with other dogs. She's been through alot and needs someone who understands resource guarding behavor and how to help her overcome it. She loves to play with other dogs large and small, but might do best in a home as an only dog and with someone who works from home or is retired to help her feel secure.
Pixie is currently living with her foster family in Parker, CO.
Our adoption fees cover transport from a reservation or high-intake shelter, vaccinations, deworming, food, alteration, any other medical bills and microchipping for identification. Our overhead is low since we foster our animals with volunteers, so your adoption payment goes right back into helping more animals find safe homes filled with love.
