Important Note

Zuma is best friends with Zoe. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
With handsome good looks and a gentle nature, Zuma is the guy you can't help but fall in love. Initially shy and hesitant, Zuma is learning to trust his new caretakers and understand that he is safe and loved. He likes to be pet and observe the activity around him. He was brought here with his friend, Zoe, after their owner decided they could no longer care for them. Zuma is just over two-years old. He is bonded with Zoe and they need to be adopted together. Zuma will surely blossom in a home where he knows he will always be a cherished member of the family.

About Delaware Humane Association

About Our Shelter...

Delaware Humane Association logo

Founded in 1957, Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is Delaware’s premiere nonprofit no kill animal care and adoption center, serving a four state area. We are committed to providing for the needs of homeless and owned dogs and cats in our community.

We rely on volunteers and donations to complete our mission and provide quality services to the community, including pet adoptions, affordable spay and neuter surgery, low cost vaccination / microchipping clinics, a pet food pantry, and more.

We make "friends for life" by connecting people with animals, and by building strong relationships to better serve our community.

We envision a day when every animal is loved, has a home, and has a "friend for life."

At DHA, we make "friends for life" by:

* Matching the right people with the right animals
* Offering a friendly, welcoming environment
* Empowering others to care for animals
* Being kind, caring and compassionate
