Milton's owner had emergency surgery for a brain tumor and could no longer care for him. She had had Milton since he was a tiny puppy (his date of birth is April 13, 2007). Milton's breed is a real guess but he resembles a Canaan Dog although that is probably not what he is. He is a stocky boy, weighing about 55#.
Milton had always been an inside dog until he had to be placed in foster care where he is having to be an outside dog because his new foster mom has so many inside dogs already. Milton really misses not being able to be with people and sharing their life. He just clings to his foster mom and looks at her with those big sad eyes because he can't be with her all the time. Milton is a super sweet boy - calm, quiet, gentle, loving, obedient, and smart! He is good with dogs, cats and children. Milton just wants a home again where he can be part of the family - laying at your feet or greeting you when you come back home!
Milton has been neutered and is on heartworm preventative. He will be updated on his vaccinations and rabies before he is adopted.
