Sweet Soga Ready for her Forever Home!

Name: Soga     Breed: Lab Mix

Approximate Age: 1.5 years old.   SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 42 lbs

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: Foster home.

Special adoption considerations: Soga is a shy girl who needs second dog in the home to show her the ropes.

Soga is a beautiful 1.5 year old Lab mix. She weighs about 42 lbs and, because of her age, is done growing. This sweet girl hails from Puerto Rico where she and a dozen other dogs were found in cages but, despite the rough start, she can't wait to shower her new family with love and affection!

Soga will need plenty of exercise and playtime each day to be a happy and healthy pup. She would love to go on long walks and regular trips to the dog park. After she's tuckered out, Soga loves curling up for a nice nap and belly rub. She can't wait to go to obedience training with her new family so that she can bond with her people and become her very best self!

Soga is good with other dogs and will be a great addition to an existing pack. The nice folks at Lucky Dog don't know how Soga is with young children but if you're interested, let us know and we can try to find out!

Like most shelter dogs, Soga may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Meg H at

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
