Mimi's Story...
Mimi and Rocky are truly a pair. They do nearly everything together. We often see them snoozing together or grooming each other. They are our longest stay residents, relinquished in September due to no fault of their own. The owner's son developed allergies we were told, so they come with their own allergy relief package :) We would love to rally the Lansing USD 469 community to help us find a home together for these two. They came from a Lansing Lions employee home. Please share, share, share! They are six years old, sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, litter trained, fine with other animals.

Standard adoption fee for cats is $90, which allows us to keep doing the work we do. Email LvnCoHS@live.com for application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimi, a Lansing Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lansing, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Lansing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lansing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lansing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lansing paves the way for another one to be saved.
