Heart Beat Watkins's Story...
Saved in Honor of Watkins!
The transport that saved this dog was funded in honor of a special pup named Watkins. Thank you Joyful Rescues for giving so many southern animals a 2nd chance! ~ Anonymous
Heart Beat Watkins was born about March 27, 2015 and will fill out to about 40 lbs. She had recently had puppies, so we also brought up the two that remained with her for the ride! She is done with her puppy days and having so much fun as a single! She is wonderful with all of us and just perfect with all the other dogs. She came to us as a Lab mix, but we are struggling with that and feel strongly there may be some Plott Hound in there and also a touch of Pit. But, then there are those eyes, those gorgeous, expressive eyes! Whatever she is she is one great companion and someone is going to love her to pieces. Please understand that we have no prior knowledge of this dog, and we will be learning as we go and so will you. UPDATE: Heart Beat LOVES kids! Joyful rescues had a little girl come visit and Heart Beat couldn't wait to get her snuggles in. She was both gentle and attentive, we feel she would be great with humans of all ages. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $275.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
