And now, a few words from me:

My name is Sapphire but my foster family only calls me Squish or Squishy (they tell me it's because of my cute little squishy face), and I'm looking for my forever home. I'm a very happy, calm girl. I don't need much to make me happy and I get settled with people really quick. I love spending time with my people, even if it's just sitting on the floor and watching them cook or watching tv. I love a good meal and my favorite chewy toys.  Come to think of it - I'm a catch!

And now, a few words from my foster mom:

Sapphire (aka Squish, Squishy, Quish Quish) is probably the happiest doggie we've ever met. She came to us from a mass breeding facility and was not in the best condition, yet she did not stop wagging her tail from the moment we picked her up. She is genuinely happy and content to be in a comfortable, loving home. There was a very short adjustment period, which is amazing for a mill survivor.  She's very calm and loving, with the most amazing wiggly tail.

She's doing very well with potty training as long as she's taken outside at regular intervals. She sleeps through the night on a blanket in our bedroom with no problem.

The only challenge with Squish is that she loves company and does not like to be alone, so she needs someone home with her on a regular schedule. She's become our shadow and quietly trots behind us around the house wagging that cute tail, not demanding at all. She just wants to be near her humans. She's quiet, unless she's not with her humans, and then she has a little bark to remind you that she wants company.

Squish is learning to play with toys and already has a few favorites. She's met a number of new people in our home and was not nervous at all.  Walking on a leash is a work in progress, but she's very smart so I don’t think it will take long for her to learn.

She has 2 foster sisters here, but would be completely fine being the only dog.  Overall, I can't say enough about Squish - she honestly makes us smile every day and would make a wonderful addition to a home where she can be with her humans on a regular basis.

Our Adoption Process...

In order to adopt from us, you need to complete an adoption application. Follow this link

Once the application is completed, it will be reviewed for suitability, and if yes, we will book a telephone interview with you, and check the veterinary and personal references that you provided. If that goes well, a home visit will be booked, and if your home is safe, the adoption can proceed. You will be required to execute and adoption contract and pay a set adoption fee
