Hazel's Story...
Hazel is a fun, loving puppy. She’s approximately 9 months old, and weighs ~70 lbs. She loves her humans, and enjoys cuddling to watch movies. She also enjoys running around, playing with her kitty friends.

She didn’t grow up playing with other animals, so it’s rather new to her. She is still learning how to play, and makes growl sounds while playing, but not acting mean. She loves cats, but dogs and humans need a slower introduction. Within minutes she’s usually your best friend.

She is crate trained and house trained, and will ring a bell when she needs to go out. She knows commands such as sit, shake, and lay down, and she walks very well on a leash with a gentle leader. She’s a pretty fast learner, and is willing to learn new things as long as you have snacks.

Hazel mostly enjoys doing what you want. If you want to lay around, she’ll happily lay with you. If you want to go outside, she loves running around and taking walks. She is a large dog and enjoys running and playing, so she would do best in a home with a yard to play in. She doesn’t do well around a lot of dogs, such as at dog parks, but one on one, she loves to play.

Adoption fee is $175.00 and we only adopt out to Columbus, Ohio area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Columbus Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
