Magic's Story...
I arrived at the RHSPCA because I'm a young athletic fellow who needs a family that can do fun stuff like long walks, jogs, or just frolicking around in the backyard with toys that squeak or frisbees that fly! I'll be honest with you, I'm still getting the hang of this "fetch" thing, but it seems like fun! My beautiful chocolaty-black coat is super soft and I love a good cuddle. I'll lean into your knees, so be careful that I don't knock you down! Speaking of, I'd probably do better with older kids (8+) since I'm still learning some manners. I haven't really had the chance to learn how to be the best I can be, but with a few treats and some patience I promise to try! Can you pretty please give me a treat if I'm a good boy in my kennel? It's the best kind of "gold star" for good behavior. And just like magic, I'll be yours!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Magic, a Harrisonburg Pit Bull Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
