HUMPHREY's Story...
Hello. My name is Humphrey and I am the third beagle (of the seven New Jersey beagles) that was recently rescued by Penny Angels Beagle Rescue. We spent our days in rabbit hutches and were basically fed and taken care of by our owner, but we didn’t get much socialization. We were used as hunting dogs in the past, but our days of hunting AND living outside are finally over. We can’t wait to start this next chapter of our lives!

I am a cute tri-colored beagle that is approx. 4 yrs. old and weighs 26 lbs. I am a sweet boy and I get along fine with other dogs. I need to find a new place to live and hope to find a patient owner who will help me with housetraining. Living in a rabbit hutch is so different than living in a home, so it will take a little time to adjust to all the changes around me. I am starting to use the doggie door in Rescue and am a fast learner. I would love to be your very best friend! Are you up for the challenge? Please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels if you are ready to give me my very first home to call my own!

An adoption application for Humphrey can be obtained by visiting our web site at www.pennyangelsbeaglerescue.com. If you have any questions, please contact beagler534@comcast.net or emnase@aol.com, or call Penny Angels Beagle Rescue at 609-965-9476. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HUMPHREY, a Ventnor City Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Ventnor City, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Ventnor City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ventnor City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ventnor City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ventnor City paves the way for another one to be saved.
