Samson's Story...
Meet Handsome Samson, a wonderful 4 year old male tabby who longs to be your new lap cat! Lovingly called "Sam," he would make an excellent addition to any family. However, his new owner should be aware that while he is in good health now, he had one urinary blockage in the past. There is no way of knowing whether or not this could occur again, so his new family should be aware. To keep him healthy his new pet parents should continue to feed him his prescription canned food diet, which he will happily eat! While he enjoys the company of other pets, he'd also be happy being the only pet. He is litter pan trained, and should remain an INDOOR ONLY pet. Samson is neutered, updated on vaccines, and has tested negative for FIV and Felv. If you are interested in adopting or fostering Samson please call our office at (718)777-0100, or email vetrescuegroup@hotmail.com. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samson, a Elmhurst Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
