Hello, my name is Kali! I am a 5 year old, 50 lb, Lab/Collie mix! The past 5 years of my life have been very up and down but I am resilient and look forward to the happiness that is yet to come. I think about what “happiness” really is for me and I picture a low-key dog mom or dad who loves to watch movies and eat popcorn. I have been called a, “very affectionate couch potato” and will take belly rubs over a plate of food any day! While kids are fun, I think my happy forever home will not include any of those or other pets. Gosh, all of this dreaming of a new family makes me nervous and excited at the same time. I will be shy with new people but my foster mom is something called a “dog trainer” and she is so great at showing other people how I can do all of my tricks and what I enjoy or dislike. I will meet you a few times because bonding is important to me and it takes me a while to trust new people. I know all of my basic commands and can even play fetch and play dead! I make people laugh every time with that last trick. I do take medication to help me with some of my anxiety and that works really well for me. Will you take a chance on me? I would be willing to take a chance on you!

About Agape Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Agape has been a strong force in the community since it was started in June of 2004. The group has held youth education programs, low-income spay/neuter operations, and works hard to educate the public on a daily basis. They also help displaced animals every day. With the help of several volunteers, we are able to foster pets in a safe and happy home until they are placed in their “forever” homes. We host animal adoption days at the local Pet Smart locations, rescue animals from abusive or neglectful situations, provide routine Veterinarian attention and pay for advanced medical attention, such as surgery and medicines.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Adoption Process...

To inquire about adopting a dog, please fill out an application. We do make visits to the adopters home prior to approval. We ask for your current vet information as a reference and, upon adoption, there is a contract that must be signed . Our adoption fee for most adult dogs is $200. The puppy adoption fee is $250 which includes a state regulated $25 refundable fee that is reimbursed after the dog has been spayed or neutered. Another $25 will be reimbursed after your dog graduates an obedience training class post adoption. On average, we spend $350 or more per dog while they are in foster care. to offset the cost of shots, heartworm checks /treatment , spay/neuters, heartworm preventative, and frontline for each animal. All of our animals are spayed or neutered prior to placement. Please spay or neuter your furry friend, too!
