Butters is a handsome orange tabby with striking blue eyes. He's confident, playful, enjoys hanging out with people, and likes getting head pets (less interested in full body pets right now)!

He has lived his entire life with two adults, and we think he will do best in a like environment. Though he also shared his home with another cat, his behavior toward other cats here in the shelter would lead us to believe that he will be happiest being your one and only. Butters needs to be an indoor-only cat as his pink nose and light-colored face make him a sun-risk.

His familiar world has shifted dramatically, making it difficult for him to adjust to shelter life. This probably means that he will also need a little extra time and patience as he settles into his new home. A good way to bond with him initially will be through play. Fortunately, he really enjoys interactive wand teaser toys. In addition, you'll want to create a small space for him with cat essentials (bed, basket or box, bowls for food and water, litter box, scratcher, and, of course, cat toys). Allow him to explore the rest of the house gradually, room-by-room, always leaving a clear path back to his special place.

Butter's former guardian says he has a "calm, pleasant personality and is very affectionate." Handsome, playful, and affectionate...who could ask for more?
