Facts about Tinkerbell

  • Breed: Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
TINKERBELL is a 5 pound, 13yo chihuahua who is dog/cat friendly and warms up quickly to strangers! She will follow you everywhere and wants to be with her person all the time! Tinkerbell would make a wonderful companion dog! This sweet girl was found as a stray in very poor health. She was emaciated, had hair loss, skin rash, scabs from a flea allergy and had a major infection/abscess in her mouth that needed immediate medical attention! We pulled her out of the shelter ASAP and got her the care she needed. Tinkerbell had all of her teeth removed, she was spayed, HW negative, vaccinated, has gained some weight, her skin issues have resolved and her hair is coming back! She has since gotten a clean bill of health! She comes with 30 days of health insurance. Apply at

How You Can Help

Dedicated fosters can provide our small dogs with basic training, comfortable homes, rehabilitation, exercise, human companionship, good nutrition and lots of hands on love until their perfect furever home is found.

Our volunteers assist with handling and transporting of small dogs to and from vet appointments, adoption events, foster homes and to their furever homes when needs. Volunteers help with setup and breakdown at fundraising and adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...

How can I Adopt a Tiny Dog?
When you are ready to adopt a new friend, we will ask you to complete our friendly screening process, which ensures a sucessful and safe adoption.

Complete an Adoption Application
We will have a brief conversation with you to find out about your daily schedule, determine your preferences and needs, and talk about your previous experience with pets.
We will check two personal references.
If applicable, we will call your veterinarian to ensure that previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for.
For renters, we will check with your landlord to ensure that dogs are permitted.
Lastly, we will do an informal home check. We will arrange a visit with the dog and your family, typically at your home. This is a great opportunity for you to get valuable input on how to integrate your new pet into your home. If we agree it is a mutually good fit, you will sign an adoption contract and take the new dog into your home.

This process typically takes a few days and then you are ready to take your new friend home. Click on Adopt
