Priscilla's Story...
Priscilla is an adorable little girl who is very interactive and playful. She loves to give kisses and is happiest when she is in your lap. She is housetrained with a good schedule and will actually go to the door when she needs to go out. She is approximately 3 years old, spayed, current on all vaccines and is microchipped. Priscilla gets along well with dogs of all sizes but she will actively chase cats. Priscilla survived a hoarding situation and has worked hard to overcome her fear of men as her abuser was a man. She gets along OK with her foster mom's husband who is a non-threatening man but this relationship took some time to cultivate. Her trust was a prize indeed once it was given. Priscilla LOVES to race around the fenced back yard but she also LOVES to sit on the couch to be your best cuddle buddy for TV time. This darling girl can't wait to meet you! She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on vaccines. She does have a medical condition managed with diet. Apply at www.forrescue.net/dog-application

Priscilla is fostered in Scottsboro, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Priscilla, a Chattanooga Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
