If you like a good chocolate bar then you might be a fan of Moose since his fur will remind you of your favorite one. His family loved him but could no longer keep him by no fault of his. He was adopted as a puppy and they know he is a Labrador and German Shorthaired Pointer. Moose is fostered with quite a few other dogs and he is having a great time hanging out and playing with them. He is a joy to have in the home and knows his manners, he is both house and crate trained. He is a sweet boy, listens well, and is loving. Moose is still young and would like to join an active family, he would do best with a family who is willing to ensure he gets daily playtime and walks each day. He loves going on walks and is pretty decent on a leash. He loves the water and would be a great beach dog. He also does well with his bath. Moose lived with a cat for awhile and they got along well. He lived with kids his whole life and he loves being around them. Moose also likes to chase after birds, so a home without any as pets would be better. Moose has a slight case of Addison's disease (reduction in corticosteroid is secreted from the adrenal gland). This is easily controlled by 5mg Prednizone pills daily. This medication is inexpensive at around $25 for 100 pills and a monthly dose of DOCP. Moose is a kind and happy boy at almost 2 years of age. He has lived with his family until now and would like to find one that he can live with and share his love with for the rest of his life! Is that you? If you are interested in meeting this beauty, filling out an adoption application is your first step in getting started.
The adoption includes the altering of the dog, current vaccinations, and microchipping. For more information on the adoption donation and our adoption process, please visit our website at www.labsandmore.org and click on "Adopt." You will find our online adoption application there as well. Once you are approved to adopt, we will discuss how to meet our available dogs. Our dogs are NOT housed at our mailing address. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization. Thank you for reaching out to rescue a dog in need of hope!
