Pudge is the cutest little dog! A rescue group brought her to Heartland to find her forever home and we are so happy to care for her! The minute Pudge reaches the grass in the play yard, she will roll over on her back for some tummy rubs! She gets so still and sighs when she is getting pets! She also has one of the waggiest tails!! If you are looking for a sweet little girl, then hurry in to meet Pudge!

About Heartland Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane 501 c 3 organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets in order to help with the pet overpopulation problem.

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartland's vision is to eliminate euthanasia to any adoptable animal. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!
