I was rescued from a puppy mill, along with some other dogs. My age is estimated to be 8. Can you imagine my existence for all those years? I had ear mites, ticks, and an umbilical hernia. I needed to be spayed and shaved. I was very fearful but not at all aggressive when I came to my foster home. I was patiently allowed to set the pace, as I gradually learned what it is like to be in a family setting and have physical contact with kind people. At first, I was most comfortable among the other dogs here. They helped me tremendously as I followed and trusted them. I wasn’t happy when they left me home alone during their walks, so I overcame the fear of walking on leash. Now I join them for twice daily walks in the neighborhood. I even want to be gently touched. Some things still spook me, and I may always have some fears, but I’m moving forward. If I could sing, my song would be What a Wonderful World! There’s so much more to experience. I think I would prefer to have at least one other dog in my forever home. We wouldn’t necessarily need to interact but just hang out together. If you are easy going and want to help me be all that I can be, complete an application and come out to Euless Petsmart to meet me.
