Heckle and Jeckle are bonded brothers who have lived together since they were born in 2009. This orange tabby pair promises to greet you when you arrive home and sleep with you at night. They love people and are very easy-going cats. Since arriving at Heartland they have made many new friends. It's hard to resist those adorable faces! Heckle and Jeckle like to play, groom one another and take naps together. Their previous home had children and Heckle and Jeckle were great companions to them too. Unfortunately, their family was unable to keep these amazing cats. The boys are very good about using sisal and corrugated scratching posts. They are quite playful and love string toys. These brothers need to be adopted together. They will make a purrfect addition to a loving home.

About Heartland Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane 501 c 3 organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets in order to help with the pet overpopulation problem.

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartland's vision is to eliminate euthanasia to any adoptable animal. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!
