Meet Tony the Tenacious Terrier! He is a 1.5 year old black and white Rat Terrier/Cocker Spaniel blend who weighs 12 lbs.

Tony is an independent guy who loves his people and his toys. Tony had a rough start in life when he was kicked by his humans and discarded on the streets. Tony had to fend for himself until he was picked up and taken to the local shelter. It has taken Tony a while to trust humans again but he is ready now for a family all his own. He loving, loyal and loves to give kisses to show his appreciation.

Tony is a low/medium energy guy who is good in the house, and enjoys being out in the yard. Tony would be a great traveling companion, hiking or camping buddy.

Tony does not get along with cats and shows fear of small children. Tony would prefer a home where he is the only dog.

Like most dogs at 3R Rescue, Tony is attending dog school every week. He is learning all his basic commands very quickly because he is eager to please. Please see Tony’s video “Tony the Caddie”.

Tony certainly deserves a second chance. Won’t you consider opening your heart and home to him?

He is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all shots and started in basic obedience training. For more information go to www.3rrescue.org, email 3rrescue@gmail.com or phone 707-529-4643.

About 3R Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We rescue dogs from rural and under-sourced shelters that do not have adequate medical support, staff or facilities and few potential adopters coming to the shelter. Euthanasia rates at these shelters are extremely high (80% or higher) Many of our dogs come directly off the euthanasia list.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals in need of a second chance. They are provided medical care, quality nutrition and the opportunity to de-stress and socialize in a home environment until they are ready to go to their new family. WE have animal behaviorists who assess each dog and recommend appropriate care and training. Many of our dogs are started in basic obedience training while they are with us.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs ate available by appointment at the 3R facility, foster homes and other locations by appointment. Please see our website calendar for the list of locations where we have adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption application. Once the application is reviewed and references are checked we schedule a 'meet and greet' with the potential adopter and the dog. We require that all immediate family members and their pets (mainly dogs) are brought to meet the dog. A home inspection is also conducted. We work closely with the new adopter after the adoption to help and advise during the first critical days/weeks in the new home.
