My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

10/7/16 - Meet Harrison!

Little Harrison is now available for adoption and more than ready to meet his forever family! He has thrived in his foster home over the last couple of months, healing miraculously and becoming the beautiful soul and playful puppy he has always wanted to be. In case you were not following his story, Harrison was badly burned, maliciously with either hot oil or a burning liquid. When he was found, the vet estimated that he had been walking around like that for over two weeks. The scab was huge and the raw skin was horrible to look at. What that poor 8 pound puppy had gone through was the worst of it all. But Harry is a fighter and super resilient. He went through frequent bandage changes, hydrotherapy and laser therapy like a champ. He is now completely healthy and neutered. Now all he needs is the love of a forever family. He was estimated to be between 9 and 12 months when he was found and luckily heartworm negative. He is a fun loving guy that loves attention! He has been around dogs of all sizes, cats and kids of all ages. He loves to ride in the car but prefers to be in your lap. He is pretty much house trained, although like any male before they are neutered, he has been known to mark some corners. He sleeps all night and does well in a crate, although he would prefer to be in bed with you. His best friend Is a shihtzu at his foster's home and we would LOVE for him to have a forever 4-legged playmate/sibling. He definitely loves to play! If the perfect home is found, this little guy would be ready to meet his forever family now!

The adoption fee of $525 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, USDA interstate health certificate (for transport only) and transport fee. Please go to our site for general information and the adoption application. fordogssakerescue.org. The application is the first step in all adoptions/inquiries. This is not a link; please type in into a new browser window. At this time, we are unable to adopt to Rhode Island residents. Please note: Pups marked “pending” are adopted but not yet traveled home. They are to be considered unavailable. Thank you. Additional information is available on our site fordogssakerescue.org.
