Pooh Bear's Story...
Oh look at our sweet Corgi Mix named after a popular character in a series of children books! Our 8-year-old Pooh Bear is a super sweet guy looking for a happy ending to his current homeless situation. We rescued Pooh Bear when the shelter he was stuck in was running low on space. Our Pooh Bear weighs only 27 pounds, so he doesn't need a 100-acre forest to have enough space. Our handsome guy is a little unsure with meeting new people, but he is in a great foster home who are teaching him that new people are not so scary. He enjoys walks on a leash and will do his potty business outside when kept on a schedule. In fact, Pooh Bear loves leash walks and will bond with you as you take him on new journeys. Pooh Bear used to think forever love was too good to be true. You can change his mind! We know you will fall in love with our sweet guy and promise to love him forever. He is neutured, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Pooh Bear enjoys the company of other dogs and is looking for someone who wants a lifetime friendship. We know how amazing our Pooh Bear is, and we know you spend some time with him. Think it over, think it under, but don't think think think too long. Pooh Bear is a lovable guy and won't last long. He knows the perfect friend is out there and is reading through adoption applications at ITVRescue.org. Don't let our guy go another day in limbo. Pooh Bear is ready to walk out our rescue door with you and onto a new series of fun adventures!
It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are generally at Petsmart on Burkhart every Sunday and have adoption events at various locations throughout the year.
Our Adoption Process...
We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $150 to $175. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.
