~~Hi! My name is Emerald and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am a really good girl who needs someone to love me forever. You see, I had a loving home once upon a time but then something changed in the household and I , along with other dogs, was abandoned and we were left to fend for ourselves. We got really skinny and then this nice lady came along and we were whisked off to this Rescue in North Carolina. Within 6 days of being in my foster home I gave birth to 6 healthy babies!! Surprise!! I lost most of my hair but it has grown back in and I look fabulous!! I feel great too!!! There are just a few things I would like to see in my world now; you, enough food to eat, a soft bed to sleep on and a loving hand to pet my head. I would also do very well with a doggy friend and I adore children! Are you my forever home? Oh, and did I tell you I like to give hugs and kisses? Hugs, Emerald FROM EMERALDS FOSTER: Emerald is a very sweet and loving 3 year old gal and she was a terrific momma to her babies! (yes, all of the pups have been adopted). She approaches new people slowly but once introduced her tail does not stop wagging. Emerald has free roam in the house and does excellent. She loves toys and pillows! She will rearrange the throw cushions on the couch but does not damage them. It's just a thing she likes to do. She will also move her bed around without damaging it. She is a funny and loving petite lady. She knows basic commands such as Sit and Come. Emerald does well on leash too. Emerald and her siblings were abandoned but it is obvious that at one time they were all loved. Emerald misses being loved very much. She is a quiet, reserved gal and loves to lay next to her people. This gal and her siblings have been through a lot and it is a testament to the resiliency of these precious dogs in that are all loving and sweet.. Emerald is a true gem looking for love and she will love you right back ten fold. Her world was very dark but has been lit up with brightness. Give this precious Emerald a loving home and watch her shine!!
