Hi! My name is Franken J. Wellington, III, but my friends call me Frankie. I was the Duke of Wellington (Road in Lower Paxton Twp.) for a short time until I mistakenly got in a humane trap that was intended for wildlife. Fortunately, the folks who had set the trap love animals, and they took good care of me until Castaway Critters could take me in.

I'm now living in a foster home with other cats, and my foster mom says my transition into my feline household has been 'seamless.' I was scared for a few days and hid under the bedroom dresser off and on, but I feel more comfortable now. I'm still getting used to my foster mom who has this habit of picking me and telling me she needs her 'Frankie hug!' Apparently the other cats who live here are not real crazy about being picked up, so I humor her.

I was already neutered when I ended up in the trap, and my rescuers updated my shots, had me tested for feline leukemia and FIV (I'm  negative on both), and microchipped me. I'm very laid back, always use the litter box, and am not at all fussy about my food.

I'm becoming more affectionate with my foster mom as I get to know her better, but I'm still working on that. She says she loves that I'm very gentle with her; she doesn't have to worry about being bitten or scratched. For now, I love just hanging out and not having to worry about where I'll sleep each night or where I'll find food the next time I get hungry. For more information about me, contact my foster mom Annette in Harrisburg at alr20@comcast.net.
