* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted:

This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.

Sol is a 1 year old JRT-Pug mix. She was listed as a stray at the shelter. We were contacted and asked if we would help her find a home in our rescue. We met her and were won over instantly! Sol lives up to her name! She is a ray of sunshine. Sol is a lovable girl with a spunky personality who is playful and outgoing. She does not discriminate when it comes to playing. She will entertain herself with her toys or she'll convince her foster Dad to play with her and of course she loves her canine foster brother. She likes the soft toys best though she has been known to play with a ball or two...She is an option to join a home that has another dog as she's currently fostered with big and little dogs and though a little intimidated at first by the big Labbie she has come around. She is an option for going to the dog park or doggy day camp. If you're looking for a great option for a dog to join the antics in an office, then here's our girl!

Some dogs are tentative around men but not this girl. She instantly was bonded to her foster Dad. They're attached at the hip. She's also a total cuddler and snuggler. She is a lover girl who will gladly crash out on your lap or sitting next to you or at your feet. Sol sleeps in her crate at night. She's an option for living in an apartment or condo setting as she's not a nuisance barker.

Sol is a velcro, cuddly type of gal without being needy. She sees you in her line of sight and she's good. She's not going to be all anxious and demand your attention and affection. She's just people oriented. She has not had one accident in her foster home.

Sol is an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 5 years.  If there are children in the home, they need to be over the age of 8.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.

About Doggie Protective Services-Corona

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal organization that has been in existence for the past 10 years. We do adoptions in No. CA, So. CA, AZ and Las Vegas. We began to take dogs from So. CA to other areas as our economy has deteriorated and yet our shelters are imploding with owner surrenders and stray dogs. We had to look outside our area as well as continue to diligently find fabulous homes within So. Ca.

We are a dedicated group of folks who are passionate about animals and committed to reducing the euthanasia rate in our local shelter. We can not save the world and we will not attempt to do so. We will simply take responsibility for those who cross our path. We pledge to make every effort to find as many FABULOUS homes as possible for our animals. We will not agree to place an animal if we do not believe it is the best match. Our dogs are our priority but we also believe that in order to place animals, the humans also have to be respected and we have to build relationships with them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do adoptions by appointment only once we have an approved application and an approved interview.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a 4 page application, an interview regarding home, people in the home, dog and whether the dog is a match, a meet and greet with family and dog and then a legally binding contract.
