Keeper's Story...
Keeper is a young Chihuahua mix a year and a half old and just shy of eight pounds. He is not your average Chihuahua! Keeper is very calm and sweet. He is not a barker nor is he nervous or high-strung. Keeper gets along with other dogs regardless of size and doesn’t seem bothered by the felines. He is a well behaved little boy and is good on leash or riding in the car. Although he can be playful, he is quite happy just snuggling up in his human’s lap. Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico, Keeper has made his way into foster care in Vancouver. He has been neutered, dewormed and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. If you think this little guy would be the perfect companion, contact us at info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keeper, a Vancouver Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
