Gracie was brought to us as an owner surrender because the owners mother did not like her. We hate to hear of these types of reasons for an owner surrender but thus is our job to be here for these animals and Gracie is no exception. This girl is good with children, other cats and even dogs and is litter box trained. If you are needing a cat who loves to be held, doted on and is social as can be, the Gracie may be a great option. Gracie is accustomed to being an inside girl where she does not need to worry about predators or getting lost from her home. And she promises not to get in the way too much; she is a bit of a napper so you will catch her catching some "z's" in the sunbeams through the window.

Gracie's adoption fee is $75.00 which covers her wellness check, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies shot and spay surgery.

About Stephens County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.

We are closed all major Holidays

Our Adoption Process...

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
