Lucy's Story...
Why is Lucy smiling? Lucy was rescued from an abusive situation and was taken in by a good samaritan. She is 12 years old and was found to have flea anemia and unfortunately, her new owner could not afford the medical care she needed. That is where The Rescue Project stepped in. Lucy is now flea free and has received the medical care she needed. She is also heartworm negative. She is such a special and loving girl who is now healthy and ready to enjoy her golden years. Could you be that wonderful family to finally provide her the loving safe home she so deserves?

Please contact us at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com to meet Lucy. Her adoption fee is $175 and includes all of her vetting, vaccines, and microchip

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
